Electrical Upgrade
During August 2006 the hall underwent a full electrical upgrade and test to meet current Health and Safety, license and insurance requirements. The upgrade included; new emergency lighting, interior work lights, new switch gear, additional stage and hall sockets and new distribution boards. The hall now has a 5 year electrical safety certificate.
The electrical installation at Dalry Town Hall required upgrading to ensure it meets current Health & Safety and Licensing legislation.
In addition, further work was undertaken to help the venue attract new hirers and audiences and make it easier to stage new events.
The upgrading includes the following, in project order:
- Supply and install 3 phase, 8 way TPN fuse board at existing mains position (fuse cupboard). Connect fuse board to existing main supply. Replace consumer unit in Kitchen.
- Replace two (2) emergency sign lights with in Hall. Rewire to dedicated test switch. Install two (2) additional emergency lights, one at vestibule exit door and one at the external of the building.
- Supply and install two (2) x 150w Metal-Halide Outdoor Floodlights to illuminate façade of building. Install dedicated supply to location of new external signboard. Connect to new signboard when this is installed.
- Install internal 500w floodlight and replace two (2) gang switch in vestibule with three (3) gang switch. Supply and install two (2) 16amp 240v Ceeform sockets, one to control position, the other at bar position, at rear of hall. Replace existing 13amp socket with double RCD 13amp socket at rear of Hall.
- Supply and install 16amp 240v Ceeform socket to stage end of hall. Supply and install 16amp 415v Ceeform socket to stage end of hall.
- Finally, when all the above have been completed, the entire installation was tested and certificated.
